Former S Club girl Rachel Stevens is back in the studio recording material for a third solo album and is determined to keep her singing career on track. Rachel, 30, says: “I had never been too tempted to do those reality shows such as I’m A Celebrity. It’s not really my thing. “I’d rather stay out of the limelight until I’ve done some­thing I can feel proud of.”

Of her new album she says: “I’m not turning my back on pop. It’s going to be a good quality pop album to dance to in your bedroom.”

But if things don’t work out career-wise, at least Rachel – whose last solo album, 2005’s Come And Get It, peaked at No.28 in the charts – has love to fall back on. “She has been dating her childhood sweetheart Alex Leigh for a while now,” whispers a pal. “They met years ago – they’re like soul mates.”

Rachel Stevens is a fave in the Showbiz Shed. We're always keen to keep an eye on what this poppet is up too. So open wide because there's a big ol' spoonful of Rach goss coming your way, yep, we've got chat on her love, life and the bits in between.

On Thursday April 24th, Rachel attended an intimate screening of Call Mickey with Alex. She can be seen photographed with Alex and also with Will Young. Rachel's still in the Top 30 of FHM's 100 Sexiest Women. She's ranked the 29th sexiest woman of 2008. This is a great result for Rachel especially when she hasn't properly been in the public eye for over 2 years.

As promised I've added a new gallery layout to the site. This one is quite bright and features an old banner from the site that I really like. The banner might be changed soon if I make a better one. 5 years ago today was the night S Club 7 announced they would be splitting during their arena tour S Club United in 2003. It doesn't seem like that long ago. In their time they had 5 fantastic albums, 4 successful TV series, 2 documentaries, 13 Top 5 singles, 3 sold out arena tours and a Brit award to their credit.

The breakup wasn't all bad though as we got the launch of Ms. Stevens' solo career shortly after which was energy packed for over 2 years. Hopefully we'll have her much needed return to look forward to soon.

I've added a new layout to the site. The last one had been up since February.

This one features Rachel from the 2004 calendar/Funky Dory promo photoshoot which can be viewed in our gallery. I've called the layout "I Will Be There" because the layout reminds me of that song.

The gallery will also be getting a new layout so keep checking back for that.

Everything is now fixed and safe again. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.

Sorry for the lack of updates and the downtime. We got hacked again. I'm trying my best to get everything fixed fast.

With thanks to our affiliate Lovely Rachel we found out that Rachel is rumoured to be on a new record label and is apparently back in the studio recording demos for her upcoming new album. According to the blog Only VIP Media, Rachel has been in the studio for a few months working on material.

Remember this is only a rumour at the moment but it's quite believeable so hopefully we get some confirmation soon.
